International events
During the academic year, Globeducate British International Schools participate in international events which are held in different schools across Europe.
These are usually physical events, hosted by a school, and are sometimes hosted online. Prestigious and dynamic opening and closing ceremonies involving inspiring keynote speakers and representatives of international organisations such as WWF, bring our global community together and are attended by the Globeducate executive board and Heads of Schools – offering regular opportunities for all members of our worldwide family to celebrate together.
These are unique learning experiences which give an added value to the international preparation of our pupils - cementing their confidence to compete and participate in our global society and to be respectful towards other cultures. Students may be hosted by a local school family when the event takes place at a school, giving the opportunity to learn first-hand about another culture and encouraging new friendships, spending time in a completely different part of the world and adapting to another family´s routines. Feedback on these two to four day host family experiences are consistently positive and are the basis of many long-lasting friendships.
These international events are a vital part of the global preparation of our students, who acquire a universal and open vision of the world. They also pave the way for a higher degree of academic and professional mobility and a better understanding of today’s global problems. Thanks to the participation of schools from all over the world, the pupils improve their language skills while they interact with students from other countries and cultures.
