As part of the Visual Arts and Technology Education curriculum (Educação Visual e Educação Tecnológica), an inter-class competition was held to promote the development of students’ creative and technical skills. The judges for these activities were students from 12ºano of the Arts and Multimedia Subject (Oficina de Artes e Multimédia).
At Nobel Algarve British International School, students are embracing the challenges and rewards of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, offered at all three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. This prestigious programme, designed to foster personal growth and life skills, is a cornerstone of the school’s commitment to developing well-rounded individuals. Students begin their journey with Bronze in Year 9, progress to Silver in Year 10, and take on the ultimate challenge of Gold in Year 12.
As part of the Year 7 Geography curriculum, students explore the fascinating world of weather and climate. This year, the pupils engaged in an exciting group project where they created posters to showcase their understanding of various weather phenomena.
On 24th March, the 3º ciclo students participated in the district session of the Youth Parliament, held at the Former Convent of Espírito Santo in Loulé.
This month, students tested the strenght of a simple structure made from sheets of paper, tested the concept of buoyancy by building small boats, using simple everyday materials and other recycled materials, explored the fascinating topic of forces with a hands-on investigation into parachutes, and delved into the dynamics of plate tectonics, specifically how different plate boundaries cause earthquakes and how these natural disasters impact buildings.
