A Proud Member of Globeducate

Globeducate British International Schools are proud to be part of Globeducate, one of the world's leading education groups with over 60 schools on four continents. This international family welcomes over 40,000 students every day and all schools are proud to belong to this global community. Students benefit from participating in Globeducate's annual events and from working collaboratively on a global agenda to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Educational projects such as outdoor learning, reading development and sustainability education through partnerships with  WWF and Eco-Schools are key elements of our offering. Each Globeducate school is committed to delivering educational excellence, building character, developing skills and competencies, and nurturing a global perspective. Globeducate schools prepare each student to become a global citizen who can shape the world

Our Values

Connecting young minds and spirits for a global perspective

The world is changing at an incredible pace and education has to keep up with this constantly shifting environment. Our students can only succeed in tomorrow´s world if they are well prepared for the challenges they will face in their future professional and personal lives. In addition to providing an excellent academic education, we ensure that our students develop skills and abilities beyond the purely academic and lay down a solid, values-based foundation for life.

Our Key Principles

Globeducate´s educational vision is based on four fundamental principles: Educational Excellence, Skills and Competencies, Character and Global Perspectives.

Our People Values

In order to bring our group key principles to life, we strive for our people to Be excellent, Be Supportive, Be a pioneer and to Be Global.

Our Globeducate Agenda

As educators at Globeducate, we have the opportunity and responsibility to lay the foundations for a better future and this begins with a robust response to the pace of change we see in the world and to the approach we take to sustainability education.

Watch this short film explaining Globeducate's mission to address the social, economic and environmental challenges that are re-shaping our communities across the world.

Globeducate has developed a Global Agenda to bring our vision to life in classrooms. Through partnerships with WWF and Eco-Schools, we can fulfil our mission to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Partners

Taking action today to protect tomorrow

Our global partnership with leading conservation charity WWF sees us collaborating across the school network. With the WWF having played a key role in identifying the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, it is a natural partnership for Globeducate.

Working closely with the WWF Education Team, all Globeducate schools have a calendar of events and learning opportunities.  The WWF supports Globeducate by sourcing inspirational speakers and experts and offers unique opportunities for these events. Additionally, Globeducate works closely with the WWF in providing teacher training in sustainability education.

“It is truly inspiring to see the huge amount of work Globeducate schools around the world do to prioritise sustainability and work for the good of the planet. Their imaginative ideas show the passion and commitment there is across the network and it is clear that Globeducate are inspiring and empowering a wave of young environmental leaders.”
Sophie Peckham, WWF Education Manager

Student-led action for a sustainable future

Eco-Schools is the world's largest sustainability education programme and it offers an accessible framework for schools. Globeducate schools are all committed to being Eco-Schools and to achieving and retaining Green Flag status, with 28 of our schools currently displaying their flag and more schools on the pathway.

Across our schools, our students and teachers work with their Eco-School committees and come up with inspiring ways to mark globally recognised eco events such as Earth Hour, Earth Week and Earth Day. These days unite our whole Globeducate family as our students and teachers from across different age groups and cultures share what they have done with their contemporaries and families.

Building 21st-century skills for a better future

At the heart of our Globeducate vision — we prepare students to be global citizens who can shape the world — lies our commitment to equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to make their own impact on the future.

Science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics play a crucial part in every young Globeducate student´s learning journey.  We work with LEGO ® Education and, in our Globeducate schools to support our STEAM Programme.

Inspiring students to make a valuable contribution to the world through global events

Globeducate schools across the world join together for a series of annual international events. Throughout the year, Globeducate regularly organises events and invites students of different age groups, and teachers, from across our network to attend or, where possible, participate remotely.  Below, we share a short video overview of the highlights of our Globeducate Events.  These events also rely on the support and participation of families in our host schools who welcome students to their homes for the duration of the event. During these home-stay experiences, our students gain confidence and experience of living with a family who may be from a different culture or speak a different language.

Our events are organised into three areas:

  • Globeducate Events (Seven global events - see logo)
  • Globeducate Agenda (WWF, Eco-Schools, Debates)
  • Globeducate Learning Community Events (Outdoor Learning, STEAM education, Reading and AI).

This approach allows everyone to see how different events link to create the best possible experiences for our students all over the world.

Our collective strength generates individual pathways for a meaningful future
